DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final part of our Film Festival Accessibility Series!\nAfter that delicious meal\, it’s time to wind down.. To wrap up our series\, we gather to talk about long-term sustainability. Accessibility isn’t a one-time project; it is a shared\, ongoing journey. How do we build structural roadmaps that survive staff turnover\, distribute the workload across departments\, and ensure that “hospitality” becomes a permanent part of our festival cultures?\nhttps://filmfestivalalliance.org/education/accessibility-series \nAccessibility: ASL interpreter and captioning \nListed by Cultural Access Collaborative. SUMMARY:Adirondack Chair Circle : ASL performance at Steppenwolf Theatre
DESCRIPTION:ADIRONDACK CHAIR CIRCLE written by Stephanie Alison Walker\nDirected by Pam Mackinnon\nBanna has it all… Or at least that’s what the other suburban moms think. Beneath the charcuterie boards\, backyard soirees and pickleball\, there’s a funny feeling bubbling underneath this seemingly perfect facade. Is it the pressure to save her children from the beliefs of the school district? Or is it just that suspicious crow watching her every move? A piercing world premiere from a playful Chicago voice\, Stephanie Alison Walker’s Adirondack Chair Circle exposes the hilarious hypocrisy of the clubs we join and the company we keep. And has a damn good time doing it.\n$25 tickets available for those using the service!\nVisit https://www.steppenwolf.org/whats-on/accessible-performances for more!\n \nAccessibility: ASL Interpretation\nWebsite: https://www.steppenwolf.org/events/adirondack-chair-circle-2 \nListed by Cultural Access Collaborative. Follow the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as ghostly intervention transforms his holiday disdain into delight one fateful Christmas night. Chicago favorite Tim Hopper\, ”for whom a furrowed brow and serious visage comes easily” (Chicago Tribune)\, makes his debut as Scrooge. This timeless production\, long heralded for its “first-rate cast and marvelous staging” (Chicago Sun-Times)\, is not to be missed.\nAccessibility: ASL Interpreted\, Wheelchair Accessible\nWebsite: https://www.goodmantheatre.org/show/a-christmas-carol-2026/#accessibility\nCost Information (from event website): Use code SIGN for $50 ($41 ticket plus $9 handling fee) \nListed by Cultural Access Collaborative. SUMMARY:Home\, I'm Darling - ASL Interpreted Performance at TimeLine Theatre
DESCRIPTION:A darkly funny exploration of marriage\, nostalgia\, and the allure\, and delusion\, of the “perfect” past.\nJudy and Johnny are living their dream: the idealized 1950s suburban life. As Judy doubles down on her fully immersive retro domestic fantasy\, the seams of their hyper-curated life begin to fray. What begins as a lifestyle choice becomes a revealing\, and unsettling\, interrogation of gender roles\, identity\, and what it costs to perform happiness.\nA smash hit on the West End and winner of the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy\, Home\, I’m Darling is a razor-sharp satire that feels both timely and timeless.\nThis performance of Home\, I’m Darling will be ASL interpreted\, featuring American Sign Language interpretation of the dialogue and other spoken elements of the production. ASL interpreters will be positioned in a designated area visible from reserved seating for patrons using the service.\nAccessibility: ASL Interpreted\nWebsite Event Details: https://timelinetheatre.com/events/home-darling/\nWebsite Link to Buy Tickets: https://timelinetheatre.my.salesforce-sites.com/ticket/#/instances/a0FV1000004Ac1hMAC \nListed by Cultural Access Collaborative.
